What size and wattage do I need?
Wattage sets recovery speed, not just top temperature. A 2200W plate suits a food van or a small cafe run; 4400W keeps its heat when you load a full plate with cold product, which is what matters during a rush.
Are these suitable for home use?
They will work at home, but they are built to commercial dimensions and draw commercial power. For a domestic patio, a griddle insert for an existing barbecue is usually the better fit.
