Series III is Kamado Joe’s current range, and the Australian distributor is clearing the last of its Series II stock. Our prices on the Classic Joe II and Big Joe II have come down with it, on both the cart and stand-alone models, and they stay there until that stock runs out.

Cart or stand-alone?

If the outdoor kitchen is already drawn up, take the stand-alone. Set into a bench or masonry it looks built in, but it has no wheels, so it is not moving again. If you are renting, or still deciding where the barbecue will live, the cart model is the safer buy. Either way, make sure the bench can carry the grill’s weight with the dome open.

What Series III adds

Both are 18-inch ceramic grills with 250 square inches of grate, and our listings give them the same warranty terms. Series III changes what comes in the box and what the grill stands on.

If you want the SloRoller later

Both parts can be added to a Series II later, and our SloRoller listing says it comes with a rack for Series I and II grills. A Classic Joe II plus the SloRoller and the stainless charcoal basket comes to $2,397.95 at today’s prices, against $2,749 for the Classic Joe III. You would still have the 2-tier rack and the lighter cart.

Questions

Is Series II still Kamado Joe’s current model?

No. Series III is now the current Classic Joe and Big Joe. These Series II grills are new, outgoing stock from Kamado Joe’s Australian distributor, priced to clear.

Does Series II get the same warranty?

Our Series II and Series III listings carry the same Kamado Joe warranty terms: limited lifetime on ceramic parts, 5 years on metal parts, 3 years on electronic components, heat deflectors and pizza stones, and 2 years on miscellaneous components and stand-alone accessories.

Will more Series II stock come in?

We hold some grills at Bendigo and order more from the distributor as orders come in. Once the distributor’s Series II stock is gone the runout ends, and we can’t tell you when that will be.

Will my accessories fit a Series II?

Each accessory listing on our site says which grills it fits. Our Classic Joe cover names Series I, II and III, and the SloRoller says it comes with a rack for Series I and II grills. Check the fit note on any accessory before you order.

How long does delivery take?

Grills in stock at Bendigo reach Melbourne in about 2 to 3 business days and the other mainland capitals in 4 to 5. Grills we order in from the distributor take 9 to 15 business days. The postcode box on each product page gives a dated window for your address.

Every grill and pack in the runout is also in one collection.
