- Buy it if
- you feed four to eight (two racks of ribs or a whole pork shoulder fit) and want one cooker that smokes, roasts, bakes and sears.
- Look elsewhere if
- you cook for twelve most weekends (Big Joe) or want it in the car for camping (Joe Jr).
- Know this first:
- it’s a lot of ceramic on a cart, so once it’s on the deck it lives there. And ceramic holds heat: overshoot a low target and it’s slow to come back, so close the vents early.

Heavy-wall ceramic holds a steady low smoke for hours on one load of lump. Locking castors roll it into place.

Kontrol Tower top vent
Holds its setting when you lift the lid, so a dialled-in low smoke stays put while you check the meat.

Air Lift hinge
Takes most of the dome’s weight. Lift it one-handed with the tongs in the other, and it stays where you leave it.

Two-tier Divide & Conquer
Half-moon grates on two levels: sear direct on one side while the veg roasts indirect on the other.

Wire-mesh gasket
Fibreglass mesh round the rim where the dome meets the base. Felt frays after a season of pizza nights; mesh keeps the seal tight.

Slide-out ash drawer
Ash drops into a drawer under the bottom vent. Pull it out, tip it, slide it back. No scooping.

- Damage caused by use with non-recommended fuels, accessories, or parts
- Rust or corrosion from exposure to coastal/salt-air environments without appropriate maintenance
- Commercial use (unless the product is specifically rated for it)
- Ceramic cracking from thermal shock (rapid temperature changes), overfiring, or use of lighter fluid
- Damage caused by dropping or impact
- Discolouration of ceramic from high heat (a normal characteristic)
- Accessories and consumable items beyond their stated period
