Overview
The rundown on the Green Mountain Grills Thermal Blanket, Daniel Boone & Jim Bowie Choice
This thermal blanket is made for the older Daniel Boone (DB) and Jim Bowie (JB) Choice pellet grill models. It cuts heat loss from the grill, so cooking temperatures hold more steadily in cold weather and fewer pellets are burned on long cooks.
It suits anyone running a DB or JB Choice through winter, whether that is a long brisket, a pork shoulder or a roast on a cold night. Hark describes it as suitable for year-round grilling, smoking and roasting. It is not for the Prime 2.0 grills: those take their own blankets (GMG6046, GMG6047 and GMG6048), so check your grill is a Choice model before ordering.
