Overview
The rundown on the FireBoard Ambient Probe Thermistor SANT311T
The FireBoard Ambient Probe (SANT311T) is a thermistor probe that reads the air temperature inside an oven, smoker or grill rather than the food. It measures from -18 to 300°C (0 to 572°F), and the 2 1/4 in (57 mm) probe is 4 mm in diameter. A 6 ft (1.8 m) cable ends in a 2.5 mm audio connector.
Use it to track pit or oven temperature alongside a food probe on a compatible FireBoard thermometer, or as a replacement when an existing ambient probe has worn out. FireBoard's support notes say ambient and food probes share the same plug and the same sensor inside, so you can mix them across the probe ports. The probe mounts inside an oven or grill with a FireBoard grill clip, which is sold separately.
