The rundown on the Kamado Joe Wire Mesh Gasket Kit for Big Joe II & III
The genuine wire mesh gasket for the 24" Big Joe Series II and III. It's the seal that sits between the dome and the base, and it decides how well the grill holds a temperature. Once a gasket compresses and frays, air leaks in around the rim, the fire runs hotter than the vents say, and long cooks burn more charcoal than they should.
Woven wire mesh holds its shape far longer than the old felt gaskets and shrugs off the high-heat burn-offs that wreck felt. The kit has enough gasket to do both the dome and the base, with a self-adhesive backing, so a re-seal is an afternoon job with a scraper and some patience.

- Damage from misuse, abuse, neglect, or accidents
- Failure to follow product instructions or improper installation
- Cosmetic damage (scratches, dents, discolouration) from normal use or weathering
- Damage caused by use with non-recommended fuels, accessories, or parts
- Rust or corrosion from exposure to coastal/salt-air environments without appropriate maintenance
- Commercial use (unless the product is specifically rated for it)
- Ceramic cracking from thermal shock (rapid temperature changes), overfiring, or use of lighter fluid
- Damage caused by dropping or impact
- Discolouration of ceramic from high heat (a normal characteristic)
- Accessories and consumable items beyond their stated period
