Overview
The rundown on the GrillGrate 16.25" Set, 3 Panels
A pellet grill does low and slow beautifully, but it struggles to put proper sear marks on a steak. Three 16.25" (41.3 cm) GrillGrate panels on the Peak or Ledge grate change that: the rails get much hotter than the grate around them, so you can reverse-sear a smoked rib-eye without firing up a second cooker. The same set fits the Hark Texas Pro Pit and Chubby offsets.
GrillGrates are interlocking panels of hard-anodised aluminium that sit on top of your existing grate. The raised rails sear, and the valleys between them hold the juices so they sizzle back into the food instead of flaring on the coals. Flip them rails-down and you have a flat griddle. Aluminium doesn't rust.
They sit on top of any grate 16.75" (42.5 cm) deep or more, or replace a grate 16.375–16.5" deep. Each panel is 5.25" (13.3 cm) wide, and the GrateTool, recipe and user guide come in the box.
